- Installing Mosa2
  If Mosa2 is not already installed on the computer, you need to install it to configure the sensor.
- Connecting the Sensor to Mosa2
  To configure the sensor, you need to connect it to Mosa2.
- Configuring a WiFi Network
  If you have your own WiFi network, you can configure the HDTE to automatically connect to it. If no WiFi network is configured, the HDTE automatically turns itself into a WiFi access point.
- Sounding Modes
  The sensor can send pings according to three different sounding modes.
- Configuring Uplink, Up and Down Settings
  You can configure different settings for uplink, down and up sounding.
- Configuring Measurements Sending Sequence
  You can configure the order and types of measurements (e.g. temperature, pitch, roll...) sent by the uplink to the receiver.
- Getting SD Card High Resolution Data
  You can download and replay data recorded on the sensor SD card. These data are in higher resolution and you can see target strength values without uplink sound transmission loss.
- Testing Measures
  You can test the measures taken by the sensor (e.g. battery level, temperature, depth) to check that there are no faults.
- Exporting Sensor Configuration for Record Keeping
  You can export the sensor settings you configured on Mosa2 in order to keep track of the sensor configuration settings.
- Exporting Sensor Configuration for Receiver
  You can export the sensor settings you configured on Mosa2 in an xml file. You can afterwards use this xml file when adding the sensor to a receiver.

Installing Mosa2

If Mosa2 is not already installed on the computer, you need to install it to configure the sensor.

Procedure

Double-click the *.dmg file received from Marport.
From the installation window that appears, drag Mosa2 icon to Applications.

Mosa2 is added to the Launchpad .
From the Launchpad , drag Mosa2 icon to the Dock at the bottom of the screen.
Click its icon in the Dock to open it.
Systems with a Mac Pro under OS X Mavericks (Mosa2 version 02.03 only): you need to launch a script that is in the installation package. This operation has to be done only once:
1. Click the magnifying glass from the top right corner of your screen and type Terminal.
2. Select Terminal from the results.
3. In the terminal, enter sh /Volumes/Marport-Mosa2/MosaPatchForMavericks.sh
4. When prompted, enter the administrator password.
5. Close the terminal.
6. Open Mosa2 and check if the script has worked. If Mosa2 does not open, it means the script has not worked. Repeat the procedure and make sure you enter the correct command line.
